X-Crafts ERJ Family 2.0 Lands on X-Plane 12 with Full Rebuild

X-Crafts has released ERJ Family 2.0 for X-Plane 12, and this isn't an incremental update — it's a complete ground-up rebuild covering five Embraer variants: the ERJ 135, ERJ 140, ERJ 145, ERJ 145XR, and the Legacy 650.
Real-World Ops Focus
The developer says the priority this time is authentic systems simulation. The flight model is pilot-approved, and the FMS and autopilot support real-world procedures including holds, flyover waypoints, DME arcs, and intercepts. Notably, the passenger ERJ variants don't include VNAV or autothrottle — because the real aircraft don't have them. That's the kind of commitment to accuracy that matters.
AirComms — Your Digital Co-Pilot
A standout new feature is AirComms, an on-screen guidance system that provides reminders, warnings, and step-by-step prompts from startup to shutdown. Think of it as training wheels you can remove once you know the aircraft — it keeps you moving without turning the cockpit into a checklist marathon.
Avionics and EFB
The avionics suite is completely new — high-resolution PFD, MFD, and EICAS displays with synoptic pages, custom navigation map, weather radar, and Terrain Radar compatibility. All displays are resizable pop-outs.
The integrated EFB covers doors, ground services, weight and balance with SimBrief integration, takeoff and landing calculations, interactive checklists, and AviTab integration.
Visuals
Retextured interiors, updated gear modelling with optional clean or dirty textures, new lighting, rain effects, and VR-ready cockpit improvements round out the package. Performance has been optimised via LOD tuning.
