iniBuilds Showcases Hong Kong International Airport in New Trailer
iniBuilds drops a detailed trailer for their upcoming Hong Kong International Airport, calling it one of their most ambitious scenery projects to date.
iniBuilds has released a new trailer for its upcoming Hong Kong International Airport (VHHH) for MSFS 2024, and the team isn't shy about calling this one of their most ambitious scenery projects yet.
The 2.5-minute trailer showcases extensive modelling and texture work across the sprawling island airport, with the studio drawing comparisons to their well-received Dallas Fort Worth release in terms of scale and complexity.
On-Site Research
What sets this project apart is the level of real-world research that's gone into it. The iniBuilds team conducted an on-site visit to HKIA, capturing extensive photo and video references across both landside and airside areas. Terminal façades, interior layouts, taxiway markings, stand equipment, and even surface wear were all documented to support accurate development.
For some members of the team, this is personal — past experience as pilots and ground staff at the airport has helped shape everything from building placement to lighting and signage details.
The Competition
Interestingly, iniBuilds isn't the only studio working on Hong Kong right now. WF Scenery Studio has also announced a V2 update to their existing VHHH rendition for both MSFS 2020 and 2024. Having two high-quality options for one of Asia's busiest hubs can only be good news for simmers.
No release date has been announced yet. We'll keep you posted as iniBuilds shares more details.
