Got Friends Going All-In on MSFS 2024 After Final MSFS 2020 Release
The popular bush plane developer announces the Taylorcraft as their final MSFS 2020 aircraft, then full focus on MSFS 2024 — including the ambitious SuperGrravel flagship.
Got Friends, the studio behind some of the most popular bush planes and gliders in MSFS, has shared a significant roadmap update — and it marks a clear turning point for the developer.
The Taylorcraft: One Last Ride on MSFS 2020
The upcoming Taylorcraft will be Got Friends' final new aircraft for the 2020 platform. Recent previews show a versatile aircraft with multiple planned variants:
- Float configuration
- Bush variant
- Ski setup
- Classic version
The MSFS 2020 build is expected to enter closed beta testing this March, with a native MSFS 2024 version being developed simultaneously. Got Friends sees this as a proper send-off for their remaining 2020 user base.
Going MSFS 2024 Exclusive
After the Taylorcraft, Got Friends is dropping dual-platform support entirely. The reasoning is straightforward — the majority of their community has already migrated to MSFS 2024, and maintaining backward compatibility limits what they can build. Going single-platform means more time on features that the new engine makes possible.
The SuperGrravel: A New Flagship
The most exciting tease is the SuperGrravel — Got Friends' upcoming flagship for MSFS 2024. While details are sparse, they've shared a work-in-progress untextured 3D model and stated their ambition to match the quality level of their beloved PZL 104 Wilga.

The developer is exploring MSFS 2024's modular systems to push what's possible, and they're deliberately holding back specifics until features are confirmed working in the new engine.
Current Fleet Updates
Meanwhile, the existing lineup isn't being neglected. Flight model updates for the AS33Me glider and the A32 Vixxen are in the works, with adjustments based on feedback from real-world pilots.
