FlightFactor 777 Adds Interactive Procedures with Voice Commands for X-Plane 12
The popular X-Plane widebody receives a major immersion upgrade with realistic SOPs, first officer interaction through the EFB, and voice command support for cockpit callouts.
FlightFactor has released a significant update for the 777 series in X-Plane 12, introducing interactive procedures that bring realistic Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to the simulator.
How It Works
The new system puts you in the captain seat with a virtual first officer who responds to your commands. Through the EFB, you can activate various procedures for the FO to perform. The system also supports voice commands - request "gear up" and your FO will comply.
This brings a new level of immersion to single-pilot operations, approximating the crew coordination that makes real-world airline flying so procedural.
Additional Features
Beyond interactive procedures, this update includes:
- Altitude alerting - Aural alerts when approaching or deviating from preset altitudes
- Single wheel brakes level support
- Reworked master brightness system - Now controls CDU, EFB, standby instruments, MCP, and more with proper realistic logic
- Reworked brake energy-heat exchange
- Text selection in all EFB/EFIS GUI entry fields
Bug Fixes
The update addresses numerous issues including outbrake disarm, deicing logic, secondary stair animations, NOTAM display, and interactive procedures window positioning when X-Plane UI scaling is applied.
Pricing
The FlightFactor 777 base package (777-200ER) is available from the X-Plane.org store for 89 USD, with expansion packs for additional variants and engines.
