After months of anticipation, Aerosoft has confirmed that Stuttgart Airport (EDDS) releases this Monday, March 23, exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The announcement came at FSWeekend 2026 alongside a full trailer showcasing the finished product.

A New Benchmark for MSFS Airports

The scenery was developed by Jo Erlend Sund and Lukas Vezyroglou — the same team behind Aerosoft's acclaimed Dusseldorf Airport. Stuttgart features:

  • Custom terrain mesh with individual runway profiles
  • High-resolution textures throughout all four terminals
  • Detailed ground service equipment and jetway modelling
  • Specialised night lighting effects
  • Custom taxiway signage and full GSX VDGS integration

Walkable Terminal Interiors

One of the standout features is the extensive use of MSFS 2024's avatar mode. Large portions of the terminal interior are fully walkable, including:

  • Functioning elevators between floors
  • Check-in desks and flight information displays
  • Passenger waiting areas
  • An accessible viewing terrace overlooking the apron

The Stuttgart Airfields Companion Pack

The unexpected bonus is a companion pack called Stuttgart Airfields, priced at €9.99 separately or €29.99 bundled with the airport. It covers six GA and glider airfields within 10-15 minutes flying distance:

  • EDTQ Pattonville — DRF Luftrettung helicopter base
  • ED41 Deckenpfronn — Grass runways with glider operations
  • EDZT Esslingen-Jägerhaus — Wooded plateau with seasonal snow
  • EDSV Wächtersberg — Winch-launched glider operations
  • EDSG Grabenstetten
  • EDST Hahnweide — Largest of the six, with hangars and restaurant

The developers noted they were already in the region for photography, making the companion pack a natural extension for GA pilots wanting local destinations.

Pricing

Stuttgart Airport releases March 23 from the Aerosoft store at €22.49. The Stuttgart Airfields pack is €9.99, and the bundle is €29.99.
