Aerosoft A340-600 Pro Launching March 12 for MSFS
Aerosoft has confirmed the release date for its highly anticipated A340-600 Pro, developed in partnership with ToLiss. The widebody airliner arrives on March 12, 2026.
The wait is almost over. Aerosoft has officially announced that the Airbus A340-600 Pro will launch on March 12, 2026, for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.
The release date was revealed during a developer stream on Aerosoft's Twitch channel, hosted by community manager Rafi. The announcement caps off weeks of building anticipation, including a trailer release and the lifting of the preview embargo for content creators.

A Joint Effort
The A340-600 Pro is a collaboration between Aerosoft and ToLiss, combining their respective strengths:
- Aerosoft handled the aircraft's visual modeling, textures, and overall presentation
- ToLiss developed the underlying systems and flight dynamics
This partnership brings ToLiss's renowned X-Plane expertise to the Microsoft Flight Simulator platform, promising deep systems simulation in one of aviation's most distinctive widebody aircraft.
The Aircraft
The A340-600 is the stretched variant of the A340 family, measuring over 75 meters in length — making it one of the longest passenger aircraft ever built. It's powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 500 engines, a configuration that gave it intercontinental range before the twin-engine revolution took over long-haul routes.
While the real A340-600 has largely been retired from major carriers, it remains a favorite among sim pilots for its unique character and the challenge of managing a four-engine widebody.
What to Expect
With the preview embargo lifted, expect a wave of content creator previews and reviews in the coming days. We'll have more coverage as the release date approaches.
