Aerosoft A340-600 Pro Launches Tomorrow for MSFS 2020 and 2024
Mark your calendars — the highly anticipated Aerosoft and ToLiss A340-600 Pro arrives on March 12th for both MSFS platforms, capping off a year of development and overwhelmingly positive preview coverage.
The wait is almost over. Aerosoft has confirmed that the A340-600 Pro, developed in partnership with ToLiss, will release on March 12th, 2026 for both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and MSFS 2024.
A Long-Haul Flagship
The A340-600 is the stretched variant of Airbus's classic quad-engine widebody — a true long-haul machine that served airlines like Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic, and Iberia on ultra-long-range routes before its retirement from most fleets. For simmers, it fills a gap in the MSFS widebody lineup with an aircraft that demands proper flight planning and fuel management.

Preview Response
The preview cycle has been unusually thorough. Multiple content creators have been flying the aircraft for weeks, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. FSElite's early hands-on impressions at FSConference were encouraging, and the subsequent interview with the development teams at Aerosoft and ToLiss provided insight into the collaboration that made this project possible.
The partnership began at FSExpo 2023 in Houston, where the two teams first met in person. After a six-month feasibility study, ToLiss's lead developer Torsten confirmed the move was possible — provided they built a custom flight model from scratch. The result is a simulation that aims to meet their own standards rather than relying on default MSFS flight dynamics.
What to Expect
Based on preview coverage, the A340-600 Pro promises deep systems simulation, authentic flight characteristics developed with input from real-world pilots, and the visual polish expected from a premium release. ToLiss brought their X-Plane systems expertise to the table, while Aerosoft handled the visual assets and MSFS integration.
Pricing and Availability
Final pricing will be announced at release. The aircraft will be available for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 starting March 12th.
